Andrew established Global Vets in 2010. With over 30 years experience in caring for animals small and large Andrew has extensive knowledge of the industry.
Georgie is a 2017 Wintec rural animal Technician graduate who has an interest in production animals and helping clients achieve their goals. Georgie’s future plans are to go to Massey university to study veterinary science to become a veterinarian.
Vet Technologist (nursing & vet tech work)
Abby grew up on a dairy farm at Katikati where she found her passion for animals and the farming industry. After graduating from Massey University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology she worked with a company to help with the eradication of Mycoplasma bovis. She joined us in late 2019 and is looking forward to meeting our clients and providing great healthcare to their animals.
HR & Strategic Manger
GVS is providing a great service and as a result it is growing. In 2019 Jono joined to help with this growth and the changes the team are undertaking to become a peek preforming organisation. Jono is an experienced employment consultant with a demonstrated history of working in the staffing and recruiting industry. Bringing skills from a diverse background of work and volunteer experience from fire fighting and mental health work to facility management and more. Jono enjoys working in GVS's close knit team and being a part of an organisation wants to make a positive difference in the world.
Mixed Practice & Zoo Vet
Catherine is a 2017 graduate of the University of Queensland School of Veterinary Science. She is a mixed practice vet and spends her time on farm, in clinic and caring for the animals at Hamilton Zoo. She loves all aspect of veterinary science, but particularly enjoys developing close relationships with her clients and their animals. She also has strong interests in surgery and wildlife conservation.
Brianna graduated from the Waikato Institute of Technology (WINTEC) in 2015 with a certificate in veterinary nursing. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing and supporting the vet team here at Global. She particularly enjoys making sure each of her patients gets the individual care they deserve. She also has interests in animal behaviour and grooming.
Office Manager & Receptionist
Ruth joined us in 2012 and has a solid knowledge of farming practices having worked in veterinary practices for a large part of her life and coming from a beef sheep and deer farming back ground in the South Island. Ruth has always had a strong passion for farming and large and small animals. She lives in Waerenga with her husband, Nelson her French bull dog as well 3 other great dogs, 2 cats and a retired show jumper on a dairy run off block.
Mixed Practice Vet
Janine is from the vaal triangle in South Africa. Graduating from Onderstepoort University 2015. She was in the first group to undergo the CCS (Compulsory community service) programme and was stationed at Elsenburg performing veterinary public health and welfare work in Stellenbosch, Cape Town. Janine then worked as a small animal veterinarian before moving to the South Island NZ as a mixed practice vet. Janine’s passion for veterinary science started with endurance horse riding in school and her goal is to one day successfully complete Fauresmith (201 km over 3 days in the cold!). Janine has a keen interest in internal medicine and ultrasonography. Enjoying a puzzling case as much as being out on farm.

Mixed Practice Vet (undergoing NZ registration)
Jo is a passionate and energetic veterinarian 2015 graduate from Justus Liebig University of Giessen, Germany. Returning to practical work after doing a doctorate degree and is passionate about developing a career as mixed practice vet in NZ with a strong interest in production animals. Jo has a profound expertise in molecular and cell biology research techniques, as well as experience in bioinformatics.
Jo has authored three research articles of high scientific impact and presented research on national and international conferences. Before moving to NZ in 2019 Jo was a part of the university’s teaching staff and worked as a research associate and later as a postdoctoral researcher.
Kate qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2012. She has always had a love for animals and a strong desire to care for and work with animals, and is passionate about what she does.
When Kate is not at GVS she works on her dairy farm with her husband 4 daughters, and a variety of pets and farm animals.
You may see Kate at the clinic helping with small animal surgeries and procedures, or out on the farms doing teat-sealing, and other jobs.
