Vet Nurse & Large Animal Technician
Hi there! people call me Ale for short.
Do you know the kind of people that love animals, talk about animals, work with animals, and want to spend their free time with animals? That’s me!
I have been looking after animals since I was a little child. I’ve had my own pets and helped to rescue and re-home others, graduated as a Veterinarian, had my own Vet Clinic and Pet Grooming Salon, and then moved to NZ to restart life.
I am from Brazil and have been living here since 2017 with my husband and our two kids (teenagers now). My husband is a Dairy Farmer and I have been milking and rearing calves for a few years.
I joined the GVS team as Vet Nurse and Tech and I am glad for the opportunity to be able to provide the best care for your animals.
I hope to see you soon!
Chris and Andrew are owners and founders of GVS. Chris has a vision of providing one of the best places to work for our team and one of the best veterinary teams for our clients. while working towards becoming a more sustainable organization doing our bit for the natural world.
GVS prides its self on building relationships with clients and their animals to provide a great service and as a result, its team is growing. In 2019 Jono joined to help with this growth and the changes the team are undertaking to become a peek performing organisation. Jono is an experienced employment consultant with a demonstrated history of working in the staffing and recruiting industry. Bringing skills from a diverse background of work and volunteer experience from firefighting and mental health work to facility management and more. Jono enjoys working in GVS's close-knit team and being a part of an organisation that wants to make a positive difference in the world. Jono's ambition is that using GVS will provide the best veterinary team experience you will ever have.

Nurse & Receptionist
Hi, I started my Vet nursing career 27 years ago straight out of school as a small animal nurse. For the last two years I have been running my own Cleaning business after leaving Anexa Veterinary Services. It will sound weird, but I greatly enjoy cleaning for others. I have also been the Global Veterinary services casual vet nurse at their Gordonton Clinic.
My love of animals has seen me as a foster parent to many kittens and puppies, which have gone on to find wonderful homes. In between caring for sick and unwanted animals, I have ended up myself by becoming the proud parent of 3 Dogs and crazily enough 18 indoor Cats - don’t be alarmed, I classify myself more as a ‘Cat Sanctuary’ owner rather than a ‘Crazy Cat Lady’!
Recently, GVS has given me the opportunity to broaden my horizon and skills by becoming the new face at their Whatawhata Clinic as Nurse Receptionist. Using the skills and knowledge I gained during my years Vet nursing at Huntly and Ngaruawahia, I hope that I can be of great service to Whatawhata and the surrounding communities. I look forward to meeting all of you and getting to know your furry companions and farms!
Receptionist & Tech
Brittany is a very keen farmer living and working on a local farm. She has been doing some tech work on the side for a few years. She will be joining our team as a part time receptionist and casual tech bringing her industry knowledge and passion for farming and animal health to our team.
